Logarithmic Detector
Power/Analog Category
A logarithmic detector is a device or chip that converts the amplitude or power of an input RF/microwave signal into a baseband/video voltage output proportional to the logarithm of the input. It typically consists of limiting amplifiers, detection cells, logarithmic summing circuits, temperature compensation, and output buffers. It features wide dynamic range, high detection accuracy, good logarithmic linearity, good temperature stability, fast response, strong pulse response capability, small size, and high reliability. The product can cover the DC–50 GHz microwave/millimeter-wave signal chain and meet the requirements of different quality grades of national military standards (GJB) and various application platform environments. It is widely used in radar, communications, electronic countermeasures, satellite communications, test and measurement, automatic gain control (AGC), received signal strength indication (RSSI), power monitoring, and other fields. Based on Si, SiGe, GaAs, CMOS and other process platforms, the company can provide customized logarithmic detector solutions according to customer needs.
