Frequency Synthesizer IC

Frequency Source Category

A frequency synthesizer chip is an integrated circuit used to generate stable, programmable RF/microwave local oscillator (LO) or clock signals. It typically integrates a phase frequency detector (PFD), charge pump, frequency divider, programmable divider, loop filter interface, and control interface; some products also integrate a voltage-controlled oscillator (VCO), mixer, frequency multiplier, etc. Through phase-locked loop (PLL) or direct digital synthesis (DDS) techniques, it performs frequency setting, sweeping, frequency hopping, and locking. The product features wide frequency range, fine frequency step, low phase noise, high spurious suppression, fast locking time, stable output power, high integration, small size, and high reliability. It can cover the DC–50 GHz microwave/millimeter-wave signal chain and meet the requirements of different quality grades of national military standards (GJB) and various application platform environments. It is widely used in radar, communications, electronic countermeasures, satellite communications, test and measurement, phased-array systems, and frequency source systems. Based on Si, SiGe, GaAs, CMOS and other process platforms, the company can provide customized frequency synthesizer chip solutions according to customer needs.
